Facing the Challenges of Sustainable Development

The Mission of CENTRIC AUSTRIA is to contribute to the structural development of industries, organizations and the community in developing and emerging countries, following the overall concept of sustainable development to preserve natural resources for further generations.

The majority of earth-population suffers from deficient supply with energy and water and insufficient waste water and solid waste disposal. The growth of population, progressing urbanization, industrialization and consumption of natural resources are only some of today's aspects changing our environment, living conditions and climate. Despite the increasing efforts to increase global welfare, many countries face constraints such as missing or non-executed environmental or social laws and regulations, a lack of experienced human resources for pollution prevention planning and implementation or limited financial resources for environmentally sound technologies.

Since 1997, the association CENTRIC Austria offers consulting and training services to bridge such gaps. Due to its expertise and reference in implementing projects - balancing ecological, economical and social development aspects, CENTRIC has been selected by the EU, UN or the IFC and numerous other (non-) governmental organizations around the globe to develop and implement trainings and/or technical assistance and services covering topics from Cleaner Production or Energy Efficiency to corporate organizational reforms, management systems improvements, business planning and development or general program evaluations.
