Our Mission

CENTRIC AUSTRIA INTERNATIONAL - Center for Environmental Training and International Consulting - was founded in November 1997 as a registered not-for-profit association according to Austrian law.

Today the Center has dozens national and international members and partners, and is free to engage a big number of experts with technical, scientific, commercial, legal and public background.

The main objective of the association is the development and implementation of programs, supporting the sustainable development of industries, organizations and the community. Following this objective, CENTRIC develops and implements projects and provides related technical assistance in the fields of:

-          Energy and Material Efficiency in the Industry (Cleaner Production)

-          Energy Efficiency in Buildings

-          Energy Service Corporations

-          Energy Auditing, Benchmarking and Management

-          Energy Efficient Technologies and Technology Transfer

-          Climate Change Adaptation

-          Management Systems (EMS, CSR, OHS, Carbon Management)

-          Program Management and Institution Building

Developing these programs, CENTRIC focuses on a multiple beneficiary level approach to guarantee the sustainability of the actions. Local capacity building, the involvement of governmental, non-governmental and intermediary organizations and the development of projects in the industry are immanent to all projects of Centric Austria.

CETRIC has successfully implemented, together with its international partner organizations, numerous projects around the globe on behalf and funds of the European Union, the UNIDO/UNDP, World Bank, the GTZ, the Austrian Development Agency and other national and international development organizations. Very high valuation rates of external project evaluations of CENTRIC's projects prove professionalism and competence.
