ECOPROFIT for Sustainable Mongolian Entrepreneurship (2006 - 2008)

The Ecoprofit project is designed to help Mongolian Private Sector (SME's) to further develop and to prepare to enter the European Union marked and to facilitate European companies to show more presence at the future market area of Mongolia. The technical assistance project will contribute to the gradual improvement of the environmental and economical performance of the Mongolian industry.
The project objectives are:
-- Improve environmental and economical performance of Mongolian industry based on EU best practice and technologies
-- Increase Mongolian capacity on consultancy level and provide a guideline for replication in the larger scale
-- Raising awareness of Europe in Mongolia and vice versa
-- Strengthening mutual trade and investment flows between the regions - environmental technology transfer
-- Promote the program of ASIA INVEST in Mongolia

CENTRIC AUSTRIA INTERNATIONAL is leading the project. Partners are the Clean Technology Center Cork, Ireland (CTC) and the Mongolian Chamber of Comerce and Industry (MNCCI).

From understanding to implementation the project provides a number of logically combined training, consulting and assessment activities: Instruction training for Mongolian consultants; workshops followed by company visits to implement the improvement options; technology assessment followed by match making; evaluation and audit of achieved results; saving project experiences in a handbook owned by the Mongolian partner to ease replication, in the Ecoprofit Cluster set up by the Project partners to sustain the activity.
