The aim of this project was to adopt the Austrian ECOPROFIT-methodology (Ecological Project for Integrated Environmental Technology) to the local requirements of the EcoEuroRegion of Ukraine and Romania enclosing the border regions of Chernovtsy (Ukraine) and Botoshani (Romania) in order to strengthen companies economically by precautionary environmental protection. The environmental impact of companies (waste water, solid waste, waste energy etc.) is reduced by identifying possibilities for a more efficient resource utilisation (water, energy and raw materials) and by implementing this identified measures. During 8 workshops Ukrainian and Romanian company staff as well as representatives of authorities were trained by CENTRIC AUSTRIA-experts with respect to the Austrian ECOPROFIT-methodology.
