Company visits and examples of measures

(1) First company visit of EU experts and local experts at Arjan Auto Pvt. Ltd. - (2) Rust removal process at Arjan Auto. As a result out of the project they have changed to cleaning in vibro-deburring machine. - (3) EU experts Weihs and Fresner at company visit at Carrier Aircon. - (4) Very dusty grinding process at Amrit Feeds. As a result out of the project they have decided to install a dust collector system to reduce raw material losses and to improve workers health.

(5) Environmental team of Carrier Aircon. - (6) Inefficient painting process at Carrier Aircon. As a result out of the project they have started to optimize the process to minimize powder paint losses. - (7) Scrap yard for copper at Carrier Aircon. As a result out of the mass flow analysis they have recognized a scope of improvement in this area. - (8) Automatic light control system as measure to minimize electricity consumption for lightning at Carrier Aircon.

(9) Gardening at noon at Denso. As a result out of the project they have changed the gardening times to morning and evening for efficient use of water for gardening. - (10) Detailed instruction at Denso what to do before leaving a room including instruction to switch off the lights. - (11) Machine at Multivac to fix the product for finishing. Before optimization this machine used compressed air to open and to close the cap. - (12) To reduce the compressed air consumption the company has installed springs to close the cap. This measure leads to less energy consumption.

(13) To reduce fresh packaging material Multivac is now shredding the product waste and using this in an impacted form as packaging material. - (14) Increasing the height of machines to find out leaks which avoids land contamination. - (15) Transparent cover of the lubricating system of a press to find out leaks. - (16) Insulation of the injection moulding machine at Machino Plastics to reduce energy losses. This measure led to a 30% reduction in energy consumption.

(17) EU and local experts at company visit at Sandhar Locking Devices Ltd. (18) Sound proof arrangement in the generator room which led to a 33% noise reduction. (19) Die casting machine before optimization. (20) Die casting machine after optimization: Pre-heating of scrap Zinc done by smoke pipe return.

(21) Key cutting machine at Sandhar Locking before optimization: the brass chips could fall on the floor and hardly collect. (22) Key cutting machine at Sandhar Locking after optimization: Because of the cover the brass chips cannot fall on the floor. It's easier to collect them all and to sell them. (23) Lathe machine at Sandhar Locking before optimization. (24) Lathe machine at Sandhar Locking after optimization: Because of the cover the chips cannot fall on the floor. It's easier to collect them all and to sell them.

(25) Rainwater harvesting system. (26) Sensors installation for water conservation. (27) Oil storage with cans at the outlet to avoid oil spillages and land contamination. (28) Waste collection system at Sona.
