Long term training in Europe

As final activity a longterm training for selected Chinese experts was organised.
This activity was implemented in 2003 and was governed by MOST, CENTRIC AUSTRIA INTERNATIONAL and ITUT GERMANY.

The purpose of the long term training was to provide for a small number of qualified Chinese experts a more in-depth training on selected topics to raise their skills up to the level of trainers, who can continue to provide their know-how in China on own resources on climate change matters, on clean technologies and energy efficiency, on renewables, and on tools for implementation on company and institutional level. The method to meet this purpose was to work on very concrete project ideas, which are appropriate to sustain the activities between China and EU to develop further training activities, identify projects and further business-to-business activities.

The Chinese expert team consisted of the following four persons:

  • Mr. XIN Mingyi - Deputy Director of ZERI - Zhejiang Energy Research Institute
  • Mr. SHEN Yuedong - Shanghai Academy of Science and Technology
  • Mr. WANG Renji - InterTech Corporation, Tianjin
  • Mr. WANG Yuming - Chongqing Energy Conservation Technology Service Center
According to the objectives of this activity each of the trainees took responsibility to develop a concrete follow-up project. The project development was assisted by the EU experts. We are pleased to report, that one of the projects meanwhile successfully was applied to the European Commission in the framework of ASIA INVEST. Other projects are still under further preparation resp. negotiation.
