Feb.2011: Media Report : Pilots benefit from CPSUC project
Our CPSUC project final conference was successfully held in Hohhot. The most important media in Inner Mongolia, Inner Mongolia Daily, attended the conference and shared their experience with their readers:

Two enterprise benefit from CPSUC project in our autonomous region
25th.Feb. Hohhot. We knew from CPSUC that Baotou XJ rare earth co., Ltd and Baotou JM rare earth co., Ltd are two pilot enterprises in Inner Mongolia, implementing CP; they saved raw materials and electricity consumption, reduced pollution, and made obviously economic, environmental and social benefit.
The CPSUC project aims to promote SMES' cleaner production capacity building in less develop areas in west of China. Since March 2008 service units and CP teams have been set up in 11 provinces such as Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, Yunnan, etc.; including 2 pilots from Inner Mongolia; altogether there are 21 pilots enterprises which implemented CP. This project arranged many activities, for instance, held trainings, organized a study tour to Europe, etc.
During the conference, experts from MOST, MIT, MEP, EUD discussed the following topics: 'Strategic new orientation of CP in the 12th S&T 5‐year Plan', ' CP implementation in China under the Cleaner Production law', 'To strengthen CP in key energy intensive sectors and economic development reform for sustainability', 'The EU 2020 green economy strategy and related opportunities for cooperation with China'.
