January 2005 : CENTRIC AUSTRIA INTERNATIONAL experts visit China and give advice on Cleaner Production

ASIA INVEST – CLEANER PRODUCTION IN THE FOUNDRY INDUSTRY OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA We have decided to insert additional EU expert missions to China to secure more continuity in the contact to the Chinese companies and partners. With this respect the EU experts visited China again from January 17 to 27, 2005. The EU expert team consisted of project manager Gerhard WEIHS, technical project manager Wolfgang WEISSEL and business expert Johannes WESEMANN, who joined the first time our missions. After the project has developed to enter concrete business match-making activities now, we have asked our Mr. Johannes WESEMANN to tackle this matter. He was selected from our expert pool because he has already several experiences with Sino-European business inauguration on the concrete company level. For two days the experts were accompanied by Ms. Marisa WYGANOWSKI from the EC delegation in Beijing. Mr. Gerhard Weihs had also a meeting with the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST)in Beijing to discuss follow-up options to sustain the activity. MOST is ready to support such activities politically and through inauguration of local contacts on municipal level through their local representatives of Science and Technology Commission. Further task was the preparation of the business mission of Chinese representatives to Europe, scheduled for April 2005.
