March 2009 : Rational Energy Utilization in China ’s Industrial Kilns

Within the framework of the EU-China Energy and Environment Programme another project on energy efficiency was established with the participation of CENTRIC AUSTRIA INTERNATIONAL(CAI) as EU partner to the China Energy Conservation Association (CECA) and Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU).

The project will check the applicability of the "Rational Energy Utilization Methodology", which was developed by the Chinese partners, during a number of some 100 tests in several industrial establishments in about 10 Chinese provinces. The main target groups are six industries: cement, glass, pottery, brick and tile, non-ferrous, and black metal industries, as well as their related kilns.

As a result of the commencement meeting of the project hold in Beijing on the 25th of February 2009, CAI as the junior partner to this project will mainly contribute related European experiences on energy conservation best technologies and practices in form of a desktop study, conducted by our key expert and managing director Wolfgang Weissel and supervised by managing director Gerhard Weihs.
