Solemnly the first of a series of seminars on energy efficiency in buildings was inaugurated at the beginning of September 2008 in Dehradun (Uttarakhand, India). Further stations of the expert mission of CAI managing director and energy efficiency expert Gerhard Weihs were Chandigar (Haryana) and Raipur (Chattishgar). This mission of CAI was completed by CAI expert Wolfgang Weissel through presentations in Kolkata and Assam during September 2008.

The seminars were an activity within a bigger project EISEEI, which should assist Indian SDAs (State Designated Authorities) to enforce the Indian Energy Conservation Act on State level by drawing up distinct action plans and capacity building for local experts.
The project is funded by the European Union and the German GTZ. CAI (CENTRIC AUSTRIA INTERNATIONAL) is one of the EU project partners. The project shall be finished still this year.
