DENKSTATT Umweltberatung und -management GmbH (DENKSTATT environmental consulting and management) was founded in 1993 and has since then become an acknowledged partner in industrial businesses for environmental management concerns and for technical consulting. The team at DENKSTATT, led by the managing director Dr. Christian Plas, comprises consultants educated in technical, scientific and business fields. Experience and knowledge of these three areas are necessary to offer solutions which are economically and ecologically reasonable and viable.
Focus of work
Since its foundation, DENKSTATT has mainly been working on the installation of environmental management systems and on the implementation of environmental impact assessment tools as well as optimization of production processes. In close cooperation with customers and partners DENKSTATT has developed new consulting products concerning health & safety, TQM and the integration of environmental and financial accounting.
DENKSTATT helps companies to find planning instruments and prophylactic environmental safeguarding solutions.
The main emphasis of work nowadays is put on four categories of work:

It's people
DENKSTATT´s employees hold numerous lectures and training courses for various providers like the ÖVQ (Austrian Society for quality management) and the WIFI (Austrian business promotion institute). DENKSTATT also works in study groups of the Young Enterpreneurs, the Ministry for Environment, the Austrian Institute for Standardization, the ÖQS (Austrian Society for the certification of quality and management systems) on environmental management systems and cooperates with the international scientific body SETAC (Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry) on environmental impact analysis and life cycle assessment (LCA).
