Transferring theory to application
RMA, established in 1999, works focused on the investigation of scientific methods contributing to the environmental, waste and sustainable management. These methods are transferred and applied in the practice in co-operation with private companies and public administration. RMA aims at providing for the management of the anthropogenic regional metabolism according to the criteria of long-term environmental protection and of minimisation of resource depletion.

Areas of activity
The staff members are working in the fields wastes and materials management. Our main areas of activity are waste and resource management, metabolism of the anthroposphere, sustainable regional development, life cycle and material flow analysis, industrial metabolism and sustainable construction (building sector).
