The Mongolian Chamber of Commerce is a non-governmental membership organization established in 1960. Following the demise of the Soviet Union and the immense changes in international trade and economic relations of the early and mid nineties, its scope of work expanded. It was renamed the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and asserted its independence as a non-governmental membership association representing the interests of the trade and industry communities of Mongolia.
The Chamber’s activities include information exchange on domestic and international markets, study visits and trade missions for domestic and foreign economic organizations, organizations of specialized industrial and trade exhibitions and fairs, provision of advertising and consultancy services to the private sector, submission of proposals on investment and trade-related matters to the legislature and relevant executive state bodies, certification of place of origin of goods, and establishment and operation of the Foreign Trade Arbitration Court as provided for by law.
They are the main organisation developing such projects and approaches in Mongolia, having the power and order to serve the companies and experts in particular organising know-how transfer and being able to guarantee - through her role and position - that the results of the project will not be restricted to the first number of participants.
