Gansu S&T Development Promotion Centre
The center is one of the first batch of Demonstration Institutes of National Technology Transfer which are identified by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is integrated into the Science and Technology Regional Bureau Gansu (CDM department, Business development department).Since its establishment, the center has undertaken a series of CDM capacity building projects which were developed by the ADB, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Administrative Centre for China's Agenda 21 and Gansu Science and Technology Department. In the principles of people-centered and innovating and developing theory, the center constantly promotes the sustainable development of social economy and environment in Gansu province.

Achievements in the project CPSUC:
- Selection of two pilot companies
- Establishment of a Cleaner Production team and conduction of two Trainings on Cleaner Production

Fruit Juice Production
The company is located far from Lanzhou and the team had no time to visit the plant. The CP project anyhow already started and focuses on water and fruit waste recycling. The company produces with Swiss technology concentrated fruit juice. The capacity is about 20.000 tonne processed fruit per year produced with 175 employees. The company depends on export, thus they are affected by the current marked crises. The plant management already participated at a CP workshop.
Thermal Power Station
The power station faced problems with the environmental authority so they invited the CP unit to carry out a CP programme at the plant. The plant has a capacity of 220 megawatts of electricity and 3000000 kcal of heat per hour (district heating), generated by two coal boilers and locally produced generators. The 1245 employees feed the plant with 500.000 tons of coal every year.
