Ⅰ Company Profile

The company was established in May 2000 and is located in the Hayenaobao Town, Jiuyuan District, Baotou City. The product channel is smooth and the market share steadily increases every year. In 2001, it was selected as the "Famous Enterprise with Green and Special Product in Baotou City" and the "Reliable Enterprise in Baotou City".

Ⅱ Products and Process

The major products of the company include rare earth ore concentrate, mixed rare-earth carbonate and rare earth oxide. The annual output is about 9,300 tons. The major production process includes roasting, water immersion, holistic transformation, extraction separation and burning, etc.

Ⅲ CPA Objective and Achievement Status

The cleaner production audit lasted for ten months; it started in March 2009 and ended in December 2009. The objective and achievement status of the cleaner production is shown in Table 1.

Ⅳ Cleaner Production Audit Options and Benefits

Eight cleaner production options have been developed and completed during this round of cleaner production audit, including 6 none/low cost options and 2 middle/high cost options. Besides, 2 middle/high cost options are being implemented. The major options include the transformation of pusher kiln powder material recovery system and the transformation of fluoride change system. The summary of implementation effects of the options is shown in Table 2.
