Ⅰ Company Profile

The company was established in March 2000 and is located in the Xifeng District, Qingyang City, Gansu Province. The company is an industrial group, integrating raw materials collection, processing, sales, transporting and the construction of apple base as a whole.

Ⅱ Products and Process

The major product of the company is apple juice and the annual output of apple juice concentrate is about 20,000 tons. The production process includes cleaning of raw materials, screening, juice taking, sterilization, enzymolysis, ultra-filtration, concentration, secondary sterilization, examination and filling.

Ⅲ CPA Objective and Achievement Status

The cleaner production audit lasted for twelve months; it started in December 2008 and ended in December 2009. The objective and achievement status of the cleaner production is shown in Table 1.

Ⅳ Cleaner Production Audit Options and Benefits

Twenty-nine cleaner production options have been developed and completed during this round of cleaner production audit including 23 none/low cost options and 6 middle/high cost options. Besides, 2 middle/high cost options are being implemented. The major options include the transformation of pusher kiln powder material recovery system and the transformation of fluoride change system. The summary of implementation effects of the options is shown in Table 2.
