Ⅰ Company Profile

Founded on September 20, 1996, Xiongbalaqu Holy Water Tibetan Medicine Factory is located in Xiongbalaqu, Naiqiong town, Duilongdeqing county, Lhasa city, Tibet. It employs the traditional Tibetan medicine production process and has developed to be a company with independent intellectual property rights and specialized in the R&D, production, sales and medical services.

Ⅱ Products and Process

The company mainly produces pills such as Coral 70-Ingredient Pill, and powers like 26-Ingredient Meridian Clearing Power. The annual production of its main products stands at 15 tons. The process of pill production includes pre-processing, preparing ingredients, crushing & screening, mixing, sterilization, preparation and packaging. The process of powder production includes pre-process, preparing ingredients, crushing & screening, grinding, mixing, sterilization and packaging.

Ⅲ CPA Objective and Achievement Status

The cleaner production audit started in August 2009, and ended in February 2010, lasting for 10 months. The audit objective and achievement status of cleaner production is shown in Table 1.

Ⅳ Cleaner Production Audit Options and Benefits

Fifteen cleaner production options have been developed and implemented in this cleaner production audit work, including 13 none/low cost options and 2 middle/high cost options.

These options mainly include strict quality control of raw materials and the introduction of micronization technology and so on. The summary of the implementation effects of these

options can be found in Table 2.
