February 2011: All 13 Centers are ready to go and all of them are connected! —Final Workshop and Network Meeting of Cleaner Production Centers in China

Now all our 13 cleaning production centers from 11 provinces are ready and has the capacity to do cleaner production campaigns——reach out each to up to 100 enterprises over a period of 5 years. Furthermore, all 21 Centers are ready to go and all of them are connected——they work as a family as CAI experts expected.

On February 23&24, 2011, in the framework of the CPSUC project, CAI experts held a 2-day workshop on network meeting of cleaner production centers in Hohhot.

During these two days, we did a lot of exercises to review project achievements, to discuss problems and solutions, to improve CP campaigns, to strengthen the network and to identify potentials for future international cooperation. One of the exercises is to find what are the needs and offers of the CP centers, such as expert exchange, tools& training materials, CP-campaign know-how, and so on. As a result, many centers made agreement and got offer what they need from project network. They really worked as a family after 3 years of CPSUC project.

We all know in china the cleaner production is focus on compulsory audit, the same as most of our centers; however, in the next 5 years, voluntary CP audit will be their focal point.

Finally, but most important, each CP center will reach out up to 100 enterprises over a period of 5 years according to the business plan.
