Capacity building in the fields of Cleaner Production

In Europe Cleaner Production is a well established experienced management approach for sustainable entrepreneurship. It improves the environmental and economical performance of enterprises and increases their social responsibility at the same time.

Strategies for Cleaner Production

• improving all production and service activities of enterprises

• reducing environmental impacts through waste and emission minimization

• increasing material and energy efficiency

• increasing quality standards

• improving working conditions, work safety and workers skills.

Embodying CP concepts into enterprises in Less Developed Regions of China will potentially close the gap between the high standards of production responsibility in Europe and the low standards in the targeted Chinese regions at present. The project aims to prepare the groundwork for Cleaner Production application on a larger scale. It is in line with the most recent 5-years plan of the People's Republic of China to pay more attention to the Less Developed Regions. Focused topics are capacity building, environmental, economical and social responsibility.
